How to study Native Finnish effectively

For a historical, ancient, comparative or reconstructed course, study slowly and keep a source notebook. Record script or transliteration conventions, grammar examples, vocabulary forms and the evidence behind each interpretation. Re-read short passages rather than racing through large amounts of material, and keep documented fact separate from reconstruction or speculation.

After every module, write a short summary in your own words, keep examples that you can review later, and use the quiz result to decide what needs another pass. A steady schedule of shorter review sessions is usually more useful than finishing the material once and never retrieving it again.
